In December, a meeting of the Council of the Universal Reading Foundation took place, attended by representatives of the FPC Board and companies associated in the Council. They were joined by the Publicat SA group, owner of Publicat and Papilon publishing houses, among others.
The Council currently consists of 30 representatives of associated companies. The newest member – Publicat SA group – will be represented by Anna Sójka-Leszczyńska.
The Foundation Council is an important body, and we are happy that it is growing. New members are constantly joining the group of founding members: wonderful people, ready to act. We are happy to welcome the Publicat group and Anna Sójka-Leszczyńska to our group. – says Maria Deskur, president of the Foundation.
We have been observing the FPC's activities for several years now. We have come to the conclusion that we need to move from observation to involvement. We are looking forward to working together! – emphasizes Anna Sójka-Leszczyńska, a new member of the FPC Council on behalf of Publicat.
We are pleased that more companies in the publishing industry want to be part of FPC. This is of course a nice proof that FPC is perceived as an organization that works well.– emphasizes Grzegorz Majerowicz, member of the FPC management board. It's a compliment, but also an obligation - of course we feel it strongly. - says Katarzyna Konopka, member of the FPC board.
