ABOUT

Books Without Borders

Books without borders is a project we are developping together with 6 other organisations to give libraries a tool to become an even more open and inclusive place. The aim is for librarians to be able support those audiences who experience difficulties reading for many reasons: dyslexia, autism, dementia. We are creating a toolkit which will show librarians how to choose a book which might be accessible for these audiences. We are preparing 8 books which will meet the criteria – shorter texts, simpler plot, more space, smaller contrasts, bigger letters.
